Marc Auguste Pictet
Such was the party of the Geneva scholar Marc-Auguste Pictet (1752-1825) for its courses given for 40 years to students of the Academy, but also to its contemporaries, in its public courses also open to ladies.
To this end, he created a major demonstration instrument cabinetpurchased from the best European manufacturers, which became one of the founding collections of the Academic Museum and, many years later, of the Museum of the History of Science.
The exhibition puts this exceptional set of objects at the heart of its presentation, accompanied by replicas and interactive devices so that everyone can test and understand the phenomena, for times of wonder and awakening curiosities.
