Solitary object or put in context, sobriety or accumulations, neutral or colored walls, typed or anonymized furniture.
The exhibition “The order doesn’t matter” offers to discover the privileged scenographic modes during the history of the Museum of Art and History. From the private cabinet of curiosities to the public museum, from the monographic project to the didactic outfits, how does the staging, the framing or the base of a work or an object influence the gaze?
How does the scenography participate in the educational, artistic, historical or encyclopedic missions of the museum? The public is invited to soak up the choices of the past to consider, question and imagine those of today and tomorrow.
