A wealth of summer activities in the new Cit Seniors program is being offered in July and August. All kinds of things to do to help you Relaxkeep active, meet people and maintain social links.
And of course, Cit Seniors welcomes you all summer long during its opening hours, just to spend some time in good company away from the sun. The activities take place at Cit Seniors or outside the venue at the Thtre de lOrangerie. Here are a few ideas. Also, consult the program at the bottom of the page.
The little queen film series
A selection put together by the librarians of the City of Geneva. Watch your favorite movies on Wednesday, 19 and 26 July and on Wednesday, 2, 9, 16 and 23 August, all from 2 to 4 pm. Its an opportunity to have a good time while staying cool. This activity is free and does not require registration.
Zumba
Gets you moving while you share a convivial moment with others. The professionals teach you the moves, then its up to you! Link up the steps and dancing to the rhythm of the music. Tuesday, 18 and 25 July, between 10 and 11 am at Cit Seniors. This activity is free and does not require registration.
Laughter Yoga
This activity has many benefits: it improves physical, emotional and mental health, sparks a zest for life and lowers stress. Its a chance to try out a unique form of exercise with laughter guaranteed! Thursday, 20 and 27 July and Thursday, 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 August between 3 and 4 pm at Cit Seniors. This activity is free and does not require registration.
Mobile bicycle repair workshop
This activity takes place in collaboration with professionals who put themselves at your service. Its a great opportunity to get your bike out and make the most of summer! Friday, 14, 21 and 28 July and Friday, 4, 11, 18 and 25 August between 2 and 4 pm. This activity is free and does not require registration.
Musical evenings
Devotees of musical evenings should head for the Orangerie Theater to socialize and dance to cosmopolitan rhythms in the company of other seniors and a social worker from the Cit Seniors team.
Play at the Theater de l’Orangerie
