Eviden Secures Multi-Million Euro Contract to Boost Berzelius Supercomputer’s AI Performance at Linkoping University

This significant upgrade marks the second time Eviden has been tasked with boosting the supercomputer’s performance, responding to the increasing demand for computational power to support advanced AI research.

Strengthening Sweden’s National AI Infrastructure

The Berzelius supercomputer plays a critical role in Sweden’s national AI infrastructure, providing cutting-edge computational power to researchers across various fields, including material science, medical imaging, and visual perception. With the latest upgrade, Eviden will integrate advanced NVIDIA technologies into the system, adding an extra 512 PetaFlops of FP8 AI performance to Berzelius. The upgrade includes the deployment of 16 NVIDIA DGX™ H200 systems, with 128 NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core GPUs, bringing the supercomputer’s architecture to 110 nodes and 880 GPUs. This expanded architecture will significantly enhance the efficiency of accelerated computing, ensuring that Berzelius can meet the growing demand for powerful AI computational resources.
