In 2024, our efforts included repairing vital water infrastructure, distributing food and essential household items to vulnerable communities, and supporting healthcare services in areas hit hardest by the conflict. The ICRC provided livelihood support to hundreds of vulnerable people, including farmers in conflict-affected areas, by distributing seeds and agricultural tools to help them rebuild their lives.

Throughout the year, the ICRC worked tirelessly to promote respect for International Humanitarian Law and safeguard the lives and dignity of those most vulnerable to the consequences of the war. In close collaboration with the SRCS, the ICRC facilitated the restoration of family links by searching for missing individuals and reuniting them with their loved ones. The ICRC also assisted SRCS in the dignified management of the deceased.

Despite the challenges, the ICRC and SRCS’s combined efforts brought hope and resilience to many in this time of crisis.
