    ENERCON and RWE Forge Long-Term Partnership to Propel Onshore Wind Projects Across Europe and Strengthen Supply Chain Reliability

    (IN BRIEF) At a recent WindEurope conference in Copenhagen, ENERCON and RWE signed a Memorandum of Understanding that sets out a long-term, multi-year collaboration to jointly develop onshore wind projects across Europe. This MoU establishes ENERCON’s role in supplying, installing, and servicing wind turbines for projects in RWE’s key markets, aligning with RWE’s self-performance strategy. The agreement is intended to secure a steady supply of wind energy equipment for RWE’s growth program, enhancing project reliability and providing planning certainty for ENERCON. Both companies highlighted the strategic importance of onshore wind power as a cost-effective renewable energy source. RWE’s CEO Katja Wünschel emphasized that the partnership meets high return requirements through state-of-the-art technology and bolsters the European supply chain. Meanwhile, ENERCON’s CCO Ulrich Schulze Südhoff stressed that the collaboration is crucial for driving forward the energy transition, expanding the market-driven development of innovative products, and ensuring a sustainable and economical energy supply for Europe.

    (PRESS RELEASE) COPENHAGEN, 10-Apr-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — At the WindEurope conference in Copenhagen on 9 April 2025, onshore wind turbine manufacturer ENERCON and renewable energy leader RWE formalized a long-term partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. Under this agreement, the two companies will jointly pursue onshore wind projects across Europe, specifically targeting RWE’s core markets. ENERCON will take charge of supplying, constructing, and servicing the wind turbines in accordance with RWE’s commitment to self-performance. This multi-year collaboration is designed to secure a consistent supply for RWE’s project portfolio while enhancing planning certainty and expanding the diversity of its European supply chain.
