THE United Nations Security Council meets in New York following the Israeli firm’s decision to extend its military operation again within the Gaza Strip and take total control of the Gaza City Population Center. The UN chief António Guterres described it as a “dangerous escalation” for the two million civilians trapped in the enclave as well as the remaining Israeli hostages still captive.
