Remembering Jacques Delors

The plenary session will open with a commemoration honouring the life and legacy of former Commission President Jacques Delors, who passed away on 27 December 2023. During the ceremony, EP President Roberta Metsola will make a statement, followed by one speaker representing each political group.

New measures to cut emissions of fluorinated gases and ozone-depleting substances

From around 17.30, MEPs will discuss draft legislation to reduce emissions from powerful greenhouse gases used in refrigerators, air-conditioning, heat pumps, fire extinguishers and to control pests, among other purposes. Plenary will hold its final vote on Tuesday.
